Capel Vale Regional Series Mount Barker Shiraz 2019

Share

Shiraz from the Great Southern is slowly starting to make a name for itself with the region’s icy climate increasingly seen as home for more elegant styles. This example from Mount Barker has great character with plenty of fruit complexity. Bright and vibrant fruit aromas of fruit pastilles are lifted by ground spice, cloves and earth with a touch of violets also in the mix. The palate is then fleshy and juicy – generous dark fruits are supported by supple tannins with a nice acid bite to finish. A good introduction to Mount Barker Shiraz with the richness and weight to match up well with lasagne.
