Chateau Les Maurins Small Batch Series Bordeaux 2018

The standard Chateau Les Maurins is the biggest selling Red Bordeaux in Australia thanks to its savoury French style and bargain price. This is a step up and shows more distinct oak plus firmer tannins to make it a more serious wine with good aging potential. It is deeply coloured and then bursting with cedar, graphite and blackberry fruits. In the mouth the oak comes to the fore but there is also plenty of powerful fruit underneath. Give this wine time to settle and then enjoy with the classic Red Bordeaux match – roast leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary.
