Cirillo Black Label Shiraz 2024

A barrel sample of a young puppy with plenty of development ahead of it. Yes, it’s a wine that is still in its prime, with a lot to unpack, but it is already showing what it’s made of: ultra-polished black and blue fruit, mild sweet spices, a whisper of herbaceous note, spearmint, and blue violets. The palate has all the sweetness from fresh and delicious berries, framed by a yet svelte acidity, slowly building, chunky tannins, and a back of the palate that is flavour-licious and savoury at the same time.
