There is a mesh of tannins that expand without feeling dry and some enticing brightness from lifted acidity. Middle palate energy in the form of squashed black figs and plummy notes. A clove stud and some warm black earth. Excellent value and another crowd pleasing wine. Pizza, pasta, sangas or tomato based stews. This wouldn’t go astray on a table of pot lucks plates.
