Plenty of bold, upfront personality here. Ten months maturation in French hogsheads provides a strong oak foundation upon which ripe fruit is enjoying a moment. Summer stone fruits, honeydew melon, citrus, woodsy spiced oak with some attractive crème fraiche and vanilla notes offer up a prominent and persuasive sweet fruited Barossan Chardonnay. Warm and textural across the middle palate it is very Barossa, very confident. . . in other words, a real crowd pleaser.
