Looking for something cutting edge to bring to your next dinner party? Well here we have a delicious example from Tasmania of the rapidly evolving style of Pinot Noir/ Syrah blends which bring together the spiciness of Syrah with the silky palate of Pinot, and this example just oozes drinkability.

Bright mid cherry in colour, it opens with striking charcuterie, violet, and mixed pepper on a bed of plush dark cherry aromas. The palate then delivers power, richness and concentration while retaining great precision of rolling tobacco, dark earth and dark cherry flavours supported by beautifully integrated, fine tannins with oak sitting comfortably in the background. A long and supple finish tops it off very nicely indeed. It might drink well for a while yet but this is probably best enjoyed young while that vibrant fruit is at its most potent.
