Eisenstone Mattcheoss Vyd. Greenock Shiraz 2022

Offers concentration-plus, but it is not to the detriment of immediate pleasure and accessibility. Tight as a drum. Scents in plum, mulberry, black cherry with a dusting of violet and spice. It shows quite a subtle, fine side, rolling out with a medium bodied friendliness, quite upfront, but there are depths to be explored here.  Chocolate panforte, aniseed, cedary oak, nuts and spice join ripe blackberry and plum fruits. Hints of roasting pan juices bring a savoury element to bear. Firm tannins support a sturdy but elegant wine. A reliable cellaring bet for the medium to long term.
