Elephant in the Room Splendiferous Barossa Shiraz 2019

Share

Love the new bottle and label here which no doubt will get plenty of people taking it home for the night. The good news is that the juice is also on the mark. Bright deep ruby, this is a chunky and crowdpleasing Barossan Shiraz which offers rich, sweet jammy aromas – think blackberry and fruits of the forest – well matched with sweet coconut oak. The palate is then rich and jubey with a gentle dusting of spice and baked earth plus some freshness of acidity to give a youthful finish. Drink it up with bangers and mash, and don’t forget the onions and a liberal splash of gravy.
