Gapsted Estate Chardonnay 2023

Share

Full of sunshine and golden hues in the glass, this is Chardonnay with no holds barred. A confident wine with baked peaches, medley of tropical fruits and some gun barrel flint along for the ride. Oak is savoury with subtle sweet char notes, more nutmeg and cumin than vanilla. The palate is adorned with papaya and golden pineapple chunks, Manuka honey and kumquat skin oils. So much flavour in each sip, this is in a handy spot for those that want richness but a focused acid drive to keep it refreshing. I can see this having a loyal following. Serve this with bubbling mac and cheese and die happy.
