Hare’s Chase Vigilance Marananga Shiraz 2021

Share

This is BIG – impenetrable in deep purple colour, opulent in aroma and complex in flavours that take the palate for one long, enjoyable ride. The Marananga sub-region of the Barossa with its rich, red clay and sandy soils specialises in some of the most distinctive Shiraz in the Valley. Here, it is on display in all of its black fruited and lightly savoury, mineral element. Dark plum fruits, liquorice, woodsy spice, espresso, bitter chocolate, black olive with a touch of pan forte, are all drawn together by woodsy oak. Oak, a warm and an inviting feature, is joined by supple tannins. Plenty of oomph all round. Consider further ageing, it will be rewarded.
