Henschke Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris 2020

This wine comes from the Innes Vineyard at Littlehampton so avoided the Lenswood fires of 2020. It’s a more subtle style than usual no doubt thanks to the challenging vintage but is still a delicious drink, if best enjoyed quite young. It has a bright, pale colour and then shows guava, pear and green mango aromas, with an exotic spicy edge. There is some of the usual pinot gris palate richness but it is more slim lined than usual with a lingering finish. Enjoy with King George Whiting fillets.
