One of several Shiraz expressions from Dean Hewitson, crafted in a medium-bodied style though still earnestly identifying as a generous Barossan. Dark plums, forest leaf and litter, faint gum-tree-like cool mint/eucalypt notes with a vibrant palate woven with all those aromatic flavours and dark, exotic spices. Everything holds together, threaded with suede-like tannins, proudly bold with a welcoming drinkability.
Tony is best known for his 10 years as News Corp’s National Wine Writer, with weekly columns in major metropolitan mastheads throughout Australia including The Adelaide Advertiser, The Sydney Daily Telegraph and the Melbourne Herald Sun. He continues to write feature articles and columns for all the major Australian wine media publications.
