Lush, waxy and rolled in sweet spices. The taste of this Chardonnay is how I would explain the colour gold to an alien that had no eyes. Pomelo, preserved lemon and honeysuckle. It’s a big wine. Satisfyingly so. Grapefruit pith, dried vanilla beans and cashew cream. I do think the ‘old school’ Chardonnay lovers would be happy. Happy indeed. It’s weighty – adding to the scrumptiousness. It’s hard not to like it. With equal parts clarity, focus and wildness. Drink with something made from a chicken, and buttery potatoes.
