Marchand & Burch Mount Barrow Chardonnay 2024

Share

Puckering, detailed, witty winemaking. This Mount Barker Chardonnay is stuffed with sweet yellow grapefruit, lime pith and salty pomelo, crushed rocks. Beneath the dense fruit, precise and knowledgeable winemaking shows in cashew cream and flint. In the mouth, it’s powerful and concentrated, driven by crystal-clear, rocketship acidity. Plenty of citrus, lemon curd and nougat. The latter from lees work. All is wrapped in attractive oak and sweet spice. It feels harmonious and assured. A very confident wine. I’d swipe right.
