The estate’s multiple block blend from the prized Martinenga vineyard, one step darker in colour than the Langhe, towards garnet. The fragrance here is all Nebbiolo allure; wood smoke and roses in a spring season garden. The palate is full of intrigue: part crimson fruits, part conserve, part savoury braise with herbal wafts of oregano and thyme. Everything mouth-pleasing with rich, mouthfilling tannins, brick dusty, yet supportive of a most satisfying length.
