A dark and broody wine with a wealth of potent spice as expected from the cool growing condition in the Grampians. This takes poppy, seed, licorice and nigella seed to a whole new dimension. Some potpourri florals and cassis and dried blackberries. Taut acidity shapes the wine into a funnel down the palate, with blueberries popping forth. There is a twiggy bay leaf and thistle note, depicting some herbal nuance but all in all its a wine that provides intrigue for its meager price. Try this with crying tiger beer at the local thai joint. Drink Now.
