Denton Yarra Valley Cabernet 2022

I loved this wine immediately after I opened the bottle. It presents exquisite aromas of cassis, blackberry, mulberry, tomato leaf, dark chocolate and earth, which are noticeable from across the room. The palate shows concentration of fruit and superb balance – there’s even a touch of cinnamon, with medium body, acid and tannin, and a relatively low alcohol (13.4%ABV), making for a rich yet measured wine which is lovely by itself or with food. It’s drinking incredibly well now but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s even better in 5–8 years.
