Riversdale Estate Pinot Noir 2021

Share

Herb garden meets summer fruit orchard. Not so much sweet and juicy as you often see in Aussie Pinots, but rather a more herbal and earth-based approach. The aromatic presence on the bouquet is strong in violet, thyme, Thai basil, rhubarb, red cherry, raspberry. Has a cool climate vibe about it, tight in sinewy tannins and acid bite towards the finish that is dry and focused. Packs a lot of flavour, too, from red and sour cherry to earth and dried herbs. Just a dip in the middle palate stops it going further score-wise, but there is nevertheless plenty to enjoy.
