Mitolo Jester Malbec 2019

Share

Take a drive around McLaren Vale and it is clear that this is a very special place. The odd monstrous gum tree shows the richness of the local environment and what this region is capable of – flavour packed wines, which suits Malbec perfectly.

Deeply coloured this is a typically bold malbec although in a drink young style made from fruit grown near Port Wilunga. Sweet blackberry, chocolate and violet aromas with a slight green herbal edge lead to a dry, full-bodied and fleshy palate. It’s a little tarry too with liquorice and spicy oak all in the mix. There is also a nice hit of tannins that give backbone to its rich fruit. Drink young with flame-grilled beef from a classic Argentinian barbecue.
