In the years since the first wines were released by Ninth Island, Tasmania has come a very long way, and the island is now hot property. The Ninth Island wines have always burst with purity from Tasmania’s pristine landscape and this wine is no different. It is a pretty and aromatic Riesling with pear and blossom fruits that are almost perfumed. It is then bright, and vibrant, even refreshing with juicy citrus fruits, a bit of spice and also a slightly creamy texture. There is also a well-balanced touch of residual sugar that will help it to match up with spicy seafood, such as salt and pepper calamari. No wonder it won a trophy at the Tasmanian Wine Show.
