Mount Benson is an undervalued part of the South Australian wine scene. Just off the coast, it shares plenty with the likes of cooler regions such as Coonawarra and Wrattonbully and that cool climate character shows through in all the wines. This Sauvignon Blanc has a touch of Marlborough about it with bright and fresh passionfruit and guava fruits plus dried herb complexity. It is then dry, mid-weight, and surprisingly generous and fruity – with some Adelaide Hills-like power. A good wine that delivers plenty of flavour and personality.
Norfolk Rise Sauvignon Blanc 2019
