Brown Hill Estate Ivanhoe Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

A beautifully composed Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon showing the elegance that the region is renowned for. Mid to deep crimson in colour, it opens up with gently fragrant redcurrant, leafy, blackberry and gravel aromas with good aromatic precision and focus. There is then generosity of fruit flavour but also attractive tension thanks to a solid backbone of sinewy tannins which all sit comfortably together with fine balance before a lingering finish accented by subtle touches of dried herbs. It’s an each way bet, both delicious now and with some staying power.
