There’s a significant oak footprint in this classic, rich style of Coonawarra Cabernet. I mention this at the beginning because it is the first thing you notice as you pour a glass. It’s lovely oak though and heightens the rich black fruit into aromas of chocolate and plum pudding with brandy custard. The richness continues in the mouth with ultra-ripe blackcurrants and a distinctively Coonawarra dark chocolate and dried mint character. It’s viscous and silky with long chalky tannins. Drink with slow-cooked lamb shoulder
