Paracombe Somerville Shiraz 2014

Share

Fruit is sourced from vine planted in 1990 and matured in new French oak for 36 months. The royal treatment here with glossy new oak and a concentrated palate to match. The nose shows tonka beans, brandied cherries and prune plums. Blackberry compote and dried black figs. Boot polish, new leather and madagascar vanilla pods. A cola like sweetness on the palate with elevated acidity that brings forth some raspberry and cranberries. It’s dialled up with intensity and still thirst quenching. There is plenty here for your money and for those that desire richness and energy this will be right up your alley. Drinking very well now and will make for fantastic drinking beside slices of rib eye and a piquant red pepper sauce.
