Patrick Wrattonbully Joanna Shiraz 2018

Share

Grown to the north of Coonawarra, Wrattonbully, like Mount Gambier, is starting to appear more prominently on labels, where all of the Shiraz for Patrick wines hails from. The Joanna now sits equally in the primary and tertiary realms, throwing off loads of blackcurrant, mulberry, raspberry and blueberry, as well as dried red and black fruits, cigar box and smoke, with a touch of vanilla from the oak maturation. The palate shows some additional cinnamon spice, with its rich, concentrated and minerally flavours, and balance between the tannin, acid and alcohol. A very satisfying drop.
