Henschke Innes Vineyard Pinot Gris 2025

Share

The Eden Valley based Henschke crew have been connected to the Adelaide Hills for a range of cooler climate varieties out of their Lenswood vineyard for more than four decades. For this Pinot Gris they have been sourcing from another in the Littlehampton district farmed by the Innes family. The wine is crafted towards a richer and more unctuous style: sliced pear, ripe and almost creamy, with a delicate note of roast fennel bulb, followed then by a mouthfilling yet energised burst of crunchy nashi and green pear flavours, underpinned with a lovely tingle of spiced and pithy acidity for texture and breadth. There’s a stylistic honesty in this wine that is entirely fulfilling.
