Lavender, roses and other floral delights. This is equally as pretty as it is crunchy and aromatic. Muddled strawberries, cloves and dark-skinned, red-fleshed plums. I really don’t think you can be rude about this wine; it emphatically overdelivers for its $28 price point. In the mouth, the fruit remains bright and slightly confected, with plenty of structure and sticky, sinewy tannins. It drops away a little quickly, but it’s a very lovable wine.
