Riversdale Crater Chardonnay 2022

Share

A pretty wine from barrel selection, just as Jasper knows how to give people what they want, he also knows how to rein in and find texture and angles within Riversdale selection of white wines. This is where the 2022 shines, yes it has the pineapple skin, nectarine and lemon twists. Some classy cinnamon and treacle oak nuances which add further wrappings. On the palate there is a ripeness of fruit with churned cultured butter, almond nougatine and a mealy warmth. Acidity still plays its part indicating its site. This is just hitting its straps and makes for a drinking experience that is even tempered, flavourful and full of ongoing textural intrigue. Perfect for crab ravioli made by a chef’s deft hand. Drink now or it still has another 3-5 years of life in your cellar.
