Teakle Wines Riesling 2025

I’m not sure what wildflowers grow at Port Lincoln, but I suspect this is exactly the scent that covers the countryside and greets chief winemaker, Liz Heidenreich every vintage when she is making Riesling: acacia, wild florals and spring blossom with citrus, green apple. Introduces savoury touches to the palate in lemon skin tartness and preserved lemon which works so well with the brisk acidity. It’s quite an individual style of Riesling with a super dry, tart pithiness to close that brings mental images of sucking on a grapefruit. Could benefit from more time in the bottle.
