Rowlee Rosé 2024

Share

The colour reminds me of freshly sliced watermelon. The same rosy-hued fruit continues with the aromas, joined by strawberries, cherries, a hint of rose petals and the spice of pink musk sticks. As always with Rosé, the colour is there to entice the eye, but not predict the flavour. Whilst carrying a little residual sugar (5.7g/L) the wine is beautifully dry on the palate, with a crunchy acidity that balances the wisp of sweetness. Made from Shiraz grapes, there’s a hint of peppery spice that adds complexity to the abundant red fruit flavours. A subtle citrus pith texture offers interest on the finish. Why not continue the watermelon theme by pairing with a watermelon, feta, mint and cucumber salad.
