This is a no holds barred, heart on its sleeve McLaren Vale GSM that is bursting at the seams with ripe, rich fruit. There are layers of luscious jam, red currants and even tar aromas with fabulous generosity of fruit – it’s almost too much but manages to keep the balance just right. That rich and vibrant fruit continues onto the palate with a viscous, fleshy, low acid style supported by supple, open knit tannins and sweet coconut oak. It’s concentrated, long and no doubt a massive crowd pleaser for fans of big Aussie reds.
