Schoolhouse Wines Headmaster Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is not about being big and bold, and generally shows the more elegant side to the variety. This version is quite classic with an opaque colour before aromas of choc mint and cedar rise up with sweet, spicy oak well balanced. It’s then juicy and mid weight, more in the blackcurrant and cassis spectrum again with reserved concentration before delivering a long, supple finish. Balance is good and with sinewy tannins this has good aging potential. Enjoy in five years with rare roast beef.
