Taltarni Dynamic Mourvèdre 2021

Share

This Mourvèdre from the Pyrenees, with 12% Shiraz in the blend, is a fascinating and elegant expression of the variety thanks to the 2020 vintage which offers up plenty of fruit to stuck in to. It opens with succulent aromas of fruits of the forrest with an earthy undertow which provides an enticing backstory. The palate is then more savoury with punchy upfront dark berry flavours that slowly unwind into more earthy and dried herb undertones backed by vibrant acidity. Very well pitched, it’s an earlier drinking and engaging wine style with a surprisingly long finish and decent structure so it will continue to drink well over the next five years.
