Tarras Vineyards Central Otago Pinot Gris 2025

New Zealand rarely does Grigio, it goes straight to Gris and this is a beaut, especially if you love your Gris ripe, rich and spice-filled with a warm umami-ness. It’s ripe, most definitely, with aromas of stone fruits, poached pear, apple, orange blossom and honeysuckle. It’s rich, hence its ability to pair up with equally weighty foods, especially involving chicken or pork. It’s spice-filled in between the stone fruits, apple and pear with a gentle spice and white musk. And that textural quality is smooth-as across the palate with just a touch of sweetness setting it off, finishing tangy and bright.
