The lightest of blushes introduces this wine sourced from the King Valley. It’s a good sign. Some contact between juice and skin brings not just a splash of colour but added depth of flavour, mouthfeel and the most engaging spiciness. Baked spiced apple and cinnamon aromas arrive with the allure of freshly-baked strudel. It’s a most inviting start. Moves warm and unctuously across the palate with a touch of pear, but it is the enduring spiciness on the finish, like freshly grated cinnamon and clove, that really seals this delicious wine.
