The Preservative Free wines are getting better and better all-round as winemakers are taking them more seriously. Hero of Zero draws fruit from premium South Australian regions, with this wine coming out of the Barossa and McLaren Vale.
It is beautifully bright and fresh, and Grenache in its most user-friendly style. It is a riot of fruits from strawberry and raspberry through to crunchy cranberry with a touch of pretty spice on top. The palate is then supple, mid-weight, and fruit-forward so it is an easy-drinking, dry style with a touch of tannins that give just enough backbone without taking away from the wine’s superb drinkability. There is even some decent length to finish too making this a good example of the Preservative Free style, and one that would suit a little chill to enjoy on a hot Summer’s day.
