Voyager Estate Girt by Sea Chardonnay 2019

This is bang on the money for what you want in an under $30 Margaret River Chardonnay with its vibrant and complex fruit well integrated with subtle oak.

The wine is pale gold in colour and instantly impresses thanks to the mix of citrus, melon and floral fruits with a nice touch of nougat lees complexity. The palate is then taut and bright – crisp acidity gives impact to its finely detailed fruits that are topped off with a long and silky finish. It is certainly not as concentrated as many Margaret River Chardonnays but under $30 the wine is hard to fault. Chill it down, but not too much, and sip it with yabbies hot off the barbecue,
