Zonte’s Footsteps Baron Von Nemesis 2023

A wine with a crimson heart and swirls of purple fruit thrown into the mix. Bing cherries, prunes and elderberries. There is a lavender aroma that suggests comfort, not old fashioned but familiar. Shaving of dark chocolate and vanilla bean and a twig of rosemary stem. All laced together with supple tannins and a willowy swaying ease to the wine. Some good middle palate freshness too. Drink now and will cellar for another few years but best to be enjoyed now and often with lamb stew and root vegetables.
