Lots of fun factor with this juicy little number! This comes from a slightly cooler vineyard in the Eden Valley with shallow sandy loam over rocks. It certainly grabs your attention from colour through to the bursting aromas and ripe but fresh flavours and intensity. The deep purple hue is preceded by whopping amounts of violets and crushed rose petals, next to blueberry and ripe black plum notes. It’s medium to full bodied and there’s some cherry ripe action happening on the palate with firm grip and fine, powdery tannins. Seamless and silky with a soft touch and generosity of fruit, this is great drinking now but one that would stand up in the cellar. Firing up the BBQ with some sticky pork ribs.
