Brown Brothers Patricia Chardonnay 2019

Share

With Brown Brothers move into Tasmania so too has the home of their Patricia Chardonnay. And why wouldn’t you when Tasmania is increasingly home to some of the country’s best. That move has also helped to lift Patricia from the traditional to a more cutting edge style of Australian Chardonnay.

Pale in colour, the wine radiates with youthful orchard fruits – pear and nectarine plus some chalky minerality and oak sitting gently in the background. The palate is then dry and punchy with tangy acidity underneath a core of focussed citrus fruits plus some attractive continental delicatessen complexity, which is all supported by spicy oak, before a very long and silky finish. It is young and taut so put this down for at least a couple of years to see its best. Great value too.
