Angas King 1836 Reserve Shiraz 2023

All the known Shiraz hits in one big wine with classic Clare indicators, a dark mint/eucal backdrop to its nasals, deep purple plum fruits pushing through. Then comes the palate thrills of bright and energised fruit, a sense of medium-bodied balance and poise even though there’s an underlying power throughout. A conundrum in some senses, though pleasing in its overall expression.
