From the Colbinabbin Estate vineyard. Sweet ripe plum and blackberry make way for black olive, gumleaf, mocha and leather. The palate is full bodied, with immediate chewy oak tannins wrapping around notes mirroring the nose with black fruits at the fore and the additions of dark chocolate and ground coffee. The tannins are grainy and stacked, pulling the palate into line to a mocha infused finish. This achieves an air of elegance whilst still being broad shouldered and full bodied. It works. And as for a food match? Just read the label.
