Chapel Hill Gorge Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Share

This single vineyard Cabernet is sourced from a site that is 165m above sea level and north facing, over some of the oldest soils in the region. You are immediately assailed by a mass of intense black fruits revealing blackcurrant, prune, and blackberry nuances. Beneath, a subtle suggestion of dried herbs with a sage influence and dusty chalk reveal. The palate is an awesome powerhouse of immense depth and concentration. Rolls across the palate revealing more of those black fruits with a lift of bay leaf and just a little minerally ironstone character on the finish. Lots happening here, and make sure you let it breathe even as a youngster.
