A very solid wine that also comes at a great price. I was immediately impressed by the nose on this Shiraz: boysenberry, mulberry, blueberry, black cherry and a touch of gaminess, and it’s the kind of wine you can sniff for ages before tasting. In the mouth, there’s a tonne of fruit sweetness but also some heft from the medium body, tannin and quite a lot of acid. A great wine to have with a rich pasta sauce, steak or lamb roast.
