Ballandean G.F.M. 2021

I think we can be fairly sure that this wine is a one of a kind – a blend of Giallo, Fiano and Malvasia. Let’s call it GFM as the grapes are a bit of a mouthful, as is the wine in the most gorgeous way. Giallo is a part of the Muscat family and you can certainly see the family resemblance with some seriously exotic and powerful fruits – apricot, peach and florals, then rockmelon and papaya. The palate is then power packed with great impact of tropical fruits well balanced with bright acidity before driving through to a long and mouthfilling finish. It is a big wine but carries that power exceptionally well. Ignore food and drink this chilled in the sun.
