A delicious McLaren Vale Shiraz, which spent between fourteen and sixteen months maturing in a mix of French and American oak, this is cracking value. 2022 is another superb vintage for the region. An opaque maroon, the nose exhibits notes of chocolate, spices, plums, coffee beans, mocha, blackberries, even a touch of blueberries and cloves. There is an immediate impression of serious concentration here, with good oak integration. Supple and seamless, there is excellent length and persistence here, exemplary balance and satiny tannins.
