Kilikanoon Prophecy Shiraz 2024

Share

This wine is a tale of two distinct Shiraz. One is immediately spicy, black-hearted and sweet fruited – the charm factor is high. The other boasts a strong tannin presence forming a firmness of structure, a seriousness of intent – something to build a future on. In other words, it releases an obvious inner beauty slowly. Dark rose aromas join floral aromatics, sweet earth, dark spices, dark fruits and black olive notes with toasty oak. A warm note of mocha cocoa is a running thread on the palate, a background, approachable note, but there is also a deep concentration of fruit and spice, tightly constructed and firm. On the finish, it’s dry, firm, earthy with a savoury black olive note that entices. Remarkable. Not your ordinary Clare Shiraz. Give it the time it deserves.
