Bleasdale Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Share

There’s plenty to consider here: the tightness of structure, the distinctive earthiness of the regional terroir, and the delightfully obvious Cabernet fruit with its herbal interaction and black berry power. It is quite the archetypal Langhorne Creek Cabernet style. Peppercorn, Szechuan pepper, green leaf, briar, bramble, a splash of peppermint and black fruits, not necessarily in that order, but lifted and super fragrant on the bouquet. Smooth tannins allow the full enjoyment of the fruit and spice on the palate, aiding and abetting the intensity and length of flavour. Medium bodied and tightly woven with a touch of earthy savouriness with a herbal, leafy lift on the finish. It must be said that Mulberry Tree is one of the region’s most consistent Cabernet performers year after year. It also excels above its modest price.
