Brand & Sons Fire & Ice Shiraz 2018

Often overlooked when Coonawarra is mentioned, shiraz makes outstanding wines when the season is good and the vineyard well managed to strike the right balance of flavour intensity and weight. This was a very good year in Coonawarra and it’s reflected perfectly in this terrific shiraz. Ripe red fruits with a hint of brick dust, chalky tannins, and plush red fruits. There’s plenty happening here as the brightness and energy within the palate drive to a sustained finish.
