Briar Ridge Block 7 Chardonnay 2023

Share

A meadow of yellow flowers. Dandelion, chamomile and canola. Ripe peach cheeks, mango slices and sparkler flint. Lemon curd on melba toast. Fruit delivers what is promised on the nose, with a buffet of tropical and orchard fruit. Apricot, orange oil and brioche tones too. It’s a lively wine with natural grace to the acidity, followed up by pineapple skin and lemon yoghurt. This is showing its sense of place and in turn is styled well. Drink with baked trout in a creamy lemon sauce.
